Because the sponsorship scandal is just the tip of the iceberg, because we
shouldn't miss an occasion to recall that we are poor because they are
rich and that we will strike back.
The weekend of the Grand Prix racing, the wealthy gather in downtown
Montreal to spend their ca$h.
THE RICH ARE SHOWING OFF DOWNTOWN. LET'S WALK AGAINST CAPITALISM!
Organised by CLAC-logement and Comité des sans-emploi
[Since last fall, CSE and CLAC-logement have led a campaign against those
with decision-making power in both the public and private spheres. Such
scumbags legislate, manipulate and machinate against the poor and those
most vulnerable. We have targeted and unveiled Robert Laramée, we have
denounced the Tory Convention of the New Conservative Party and the best
is yet to come!] -- clac.taktic.org |

...ON STRIKE...
...workers, students, those facing deportation, the unemployed...

* PUBLIC ASSEMBLY *
* "Where are we at in our struggles?" *
* Friday, June 3rd, 6:30pm at CEDA *
* (2515 Delisle, Lionel-Groulx metro) *
*********************************************
Comité des sans-emploi Mtl-Centre (CSE) and CLAC-Logement are inviting you
to share and exchange on the current state of affairs of various dynamic
struggles involving a large part of the population.
In a quebecois and canadian context of cuts, privatisation, obsession over
security concerns and generalised repression, it continuously remains
urgent to inform ourselves about the demands and plan of action of the
different progressist and radical movements. Beyond informing ourselves,
we want to share and work together, because our struggles all target the
very same capitalist logic, the same regressive policies, the same
scumbags who poison our lives, profit from us and laugh in our faces.
Whether we are talking abour the harsh living conditions of those on
social assistance, of students, of immigrants or of refugees, the reasons
for such poverty and exploitation are the same. Spokepeople from those
groups in struggle will talk about their issues at stake and discuss their
means of action in the short-term.
Since last fall, CSE and CLAC-logement have led a campaign against those
with decision-making power in both the public and private spheres. Such
scumbags legislate, manipulate and machinate against the poor and those
most vulnerable. We have targeted and unveiled Robert Laramée, we have
denounced the Tory Convention of the New Conservative Party and the best
is yet to come!
All are welcome!

* Robert Laramee : A man to unmask, at last *
* Friday, February 11th 2005 *
* 3pm *
* Meeting at 1710 Beaudry (Beaudry metro) *
**********************************************
We are specifically targetting Robert Laramee because of his role in the
"social cleansing" of the Centre-Sud. His leadership in various anti-poor
projects has shown his real goal: to chase the poor out of this
neighbourhood and give it to business owners, developers, and wealthy new
residents. Shutting street youth out of Viger Square, evicting homeless
folks from shanty houses and pushing a new municipal by-law to make it
difficult or even impossible for groups working with marginalized people
(drug-users, homeless people, etc.) to become established in the area --
his deeds leave no doubt about his intentions. In the guise of a leader
who is close to his people - an act he likes to show off in front of TV
cameras - Robert Laramee is someone who despises the poor. Let's get this
little arrogant careerist to stop hiding behind the mask of a populist who
cares for the well-being of his neighbourhood. We are not fools.
The act is over!

let's chase'them down !
the Comite des sans emploi montreal centre and the CLAC Logement are launching another newspaper "c'est arrivée prè de chez vous"(you can found it in the DIRA). This issue launches a new offensive against some well known and less known generals in the current anti-social attacks.
Look soon for some news about our next action against some "fuckers" in 2005. |
To end with fuckers
We denounce the capitalist practices of the municipal government of Montreal and of the provincial and federal governments, whether they appear as a housing crisis, the oppression of women or native peoples,
police attacks on the visible poor, or cuts in social programs. We understand that this is not a faceless system. Those in charge of policy have names and addresses and must be confronted in person, whether at home or at work. The time has come for action. We cannot sit idly by as new laws and programs, new snares and truncheons constantly assault our sisters and brothers. These attacks are not isolated in Centre-sud or the entirety of Montréal, the province of Quebec or the whole of Canada. This is capitalism, the exploiter of all poor and working classes. The global
agenda is wealth for a few at the cost of all our lives, the health our planet and our autonomy. We encourage anyone and everyone to stand up in defiance and stop the gears of capital from grinding over the bodies of all our friends and loved ones,
BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.
